Well folks. It’s here. The year that the internet has been a buzz over for about a decade now. I know I first started reading about the 2012 phenomenon/Mayan prophesies in about 2004. I can’t believe how fast 8 years have gone by.
I am wondering, if I have any readers out there, what your thoughts, concerns, hopes or fears are for this year?
I guess if I am asking you to share the only reasonable thing for me to do is go first.
180 movie
October 11th, 2011 AT 4:46pmThis short film rocked my world last week! It is a loving punch in the stomach that gets your attention… a battle between justification and morality, with morality winning uncontested!
ten years since 9/11
September 10th, 2011 AT 11:25amTomorrow marks the ten year anniversary of one of the most tragic and horrific days in human history. Many things have occurred throughout human history that you could call more tragic from a loss of life standpoint but what makes 9/11 so different than other events is the fact that is was televised as it happened. We all shared in the pain and shock of that day one way or another. So many people continue to suffer this day. Something else that makes the events of 9/11 differ from other tragedies is the fact that what occurred that day were the actions of people against other people. What occurred that day is unthinkable, yet a group of people conceived that idea and carried it out. Which group carried it out remains an open debate to this day.
powerful when explained powerfully
April 25th, 2011 AT 4:44pmThis video was shown in my church on Sunday. It’s had my wheels turning ever since. Give this a watch. If your curious about real Christianity, you need to take 5 minutes to reshape your mind… this guy lays it out in a way you have never heard before. Forget what T.V., movies and news has led you to believe about the Gospel, this is the truth.

My favorite show on T.V. is Breaking Bad. Watching this show has helped me come to a revelation about how to world works. I understand that it’s a fictitious show but I believe that it shows a very real side of human nature and the way we affect each other, completely unaware of it.
To get this point across I am going to do my best to briefly summarize what has transpired in the show which is now through three full seasons. The show gets its name from the term breaking bad which essentially means to make an abrupt change from good moral behaviour to that of bad.
that kid in class
February 10th, 2011 AT 4:30pmI think I spend so much time focusing on the U.S. and what they do politically, economically and militarily because they are the country who’s actions have the most affect on the world as a whole. We are on the edge of some serious times on our globe. It’s like the U.S. is that kid in class who keeps pushing the teacher then we all get punished and have to stay in at reccess. This is a stirring documentary with a lot of interesting information in it. I suggest you watch it and follow the news, it will make it credible for you.
the story of stuff
January 12th, 2011 AT 4:03pmHere is a great short video that brings to light the vital flaws of our economy and consumerist ways. It is quite an eye opener to realize how greed, selfishness and vanity plug themselves into a system like this and pretty well make the whole thing tick.
This video got me thinking about something that I proposed in a post a long time ago. That thought was that money is really just a mechinism used to keep us busy. While we work hard and spend and play and watch TV and sports and movies and going out to eat and traveling and buying clothes we are not thinking about the world we live and how it got to be this way or how we can be more responsible or selfless with what we have. What are your thoughts about the video?
