I think I often come across as pessimistic on this site and today I intend to prove myself justified. If you think for any reason life on our planet is going to get any better without the direct intervention of God then consider this story that I heard on the news last week.
Frito Lays chip company is pulling their environmentally friendly chip bags from shelves because people have been complaining that the packaging is too loud. This is so infuriating too me. People have been so softened and moulded by advertising and media into a mentality where they think every single little facet of their lives has to be a perfect convenience.
My feeling is that if people can’t stand a potato chip bag that is on the loud side but completely compostable and good for the environment then what are people willing to do for the benefit of their planet, each other and generations to come? It just seems so typical of our North American culture to not want to buy chips because the package is too noisy.
