Wednesday, January 11th, 2012180 movie
Tuesday, October 11th, 2011This short film rocked my world last week! It is a loving punch in the stomach that gets your attention… a battle between justification and morality, with morality winning uncontested!
powerful when explained powerfully
Monday, April 25th, 2011This video was shown in my church on Sunday. It’s had my wheels turning ever since. Give this a watch. If your curious about real Christianity, you need to take 5 minutes to reshape your mind… this guy lays it out in a way you have never heard before. Forget what T.V., movies and news has led you to believe about the Gospel, this is the truth.

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011the Jesus never existed movement
Monday, January 10th, 2011On the heels of the Zeitgeist movies an entire movement has been created. A false movement. The infamous documentary Zeitgeist and many other writers boldy claims that Jesus never existed and was merely a borrowed figure created out of other mythological pagan religions. Well today’s post if going to destroy that movement. Please watch the documentary contained in this post. It will help you see that the idea that Jesus never existed is a very new idea and one that is completely false.
Merry Christmas! That’s right… I said it.
Friday, December 24th, 2010Merry Christmas from a little candle. I know it’s not to politically correct to say Merry Christmas these days, but I don’t care for political correctness all that much when it comes to my faith. What is December 25th? It’s Christmas Day… and here in Canada all the fuss since Halloween has been a build up to the 25th… Christmas.
I don’t know where all this hate and fussiness over the term “Merry Christmas” has come from although I have my ideas. It seems kind of odd to me that there is a fuss over the term at all. If someone came up to me and said Happy Hanuka I wouldn’t be offended. I wouldn’t be anything at all really because I am not Jewish. I wouldn’t see as it offensive because it doesn’t relate to me, I’m indifferent. So if you are not Christian or Catholic or any other denomination that observes Christmas just get over it. If you don’t believe in Jesus someone saying Merry Christmas to you should mean as little as someone saying “Happy Frosty Day” in respect to Frosty the Snowman. If Christ is someone you think never existed or was not who he said he was then just turn a deaf ear to all of this or go live somewhere that Christmas is not a prominent holiday. It is interesting to me that I have never actually met a person that has an issue with the term “Merry Christmas”. Have you? I wonder if that theroy is only something that exists in the news media to start something where there is nothing. I know for sure without a doubt that if I moved somewhere and complained about there traditions I would be in big trouble.
Lastly, why I think there is any fuss over the term Merry Christmas is because Jesus is the one true God and savior of any who will have him. I have said it numerous times on this site that a life lived for Christ by every man, woman and child is the solution to every problem we face and the people that are attempting to control us know this because they are working in opposition to what Christ taught so they must remove Jesus to be successful in their efforts. Christianity is opposed all over the world because the truth destroys lies, the lies we are constantly being fed. I wonder if in our lifetime we will see an attempt to rename the occasion on the 25th all together. I wouldn’t be surprised but I hope it never comes to that. Merry Christmas to everyone who read this. Have a blessed new year as well. I have some good posts lined up for early 2011.
the longing for a hero and justice
Wednesday, December 15th, 2010I was thinking the other day about how fascinated people are with hero’s. The best stories always revolve around a hero and the justice that is delivered by said hero. Well all shuffle our feet to movie theatres and fill row upon row and spend billions annually gawking at screens that show stories about hero’s. If you think this is an exaggeration try and write down as quickly as you can 10 movie titles… I bet more than half of them surround a hero of some degree. All stories involve a main character and a protagonist/conflict opposite them and we all ride the edge of our seats for approximately two hours hoping our hero wins. Be it action/adventure, horror/thriller, drama/comedy or even romance this principle is true. (more…)
so what is the big deal about 2012?
Thursday, November 25th, 2010There is a good chance at some point you have heard about the Mayan civilization. There is an even better chance that you have heard about them because of there now famous long count calendar that ends on the winter solstice, or December 21st, 2012. Now somehow, because this has been figured out, this “truth” has been equated to the world ending while others are holding their breath for a new spiritual shift or age of enlightenment.
Truth be told I first heard about the 2012 theory, about 6 years ago now, it somewhat frightened me. Prophesy has always been something that fascinates me. However as I have grown in my faith my fascination has changed from something that was rooted in fear to something that is rooted in strength.
To know that God has everything under control, even when chaos seems to rule the day, is the most encouraging and comforting knowledge anyone can have. I encourage you to watch the series below. The narrator covers some thoughts he has on the 2012 front that I have had myself with some small differences.
twenty minutes you can’t pass on…
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010Last week I came across for the first time a new version on the Zeitgeist documentary. This one is titled Zeitgeist Addendum. It is riveting. If you can give this documentary twenty minutes of your time I guarantee you will end up watching the entire thing.
There are some glaring differences between these two which to me are very important. This edition paints a picture of hope at the end where as the previous painted a picture of doom. One major similarity is the films stance against religion. This one however made a point of mentioning all the major religions this time around. In the first version it only attacked Christianity, which to me still sticks out in my mind as the true motive of the film.
As said before in reaction to the first Zeitgeist I believe that this film has a dark purpose. I believe that the film is a mix of truth and non-truth. It plays on very emotional subjects to stir reactions of passion and anger. But what many viewers of this film will not know is that the very teachings of Christ will undo the entire “system” that the film repeatedly speaks about.
